Our destinies are, "Written in the stars," and... don't stop climbing because, "the higher you get, the higher you get!"
Do we continue to climb the ladder or step down, pause and pick up the spade... you know get dirty?
Forever growing up I have heard about the great race to outer space. So naturally when asked at age 8, "Where do you want to go for your honey moon?" It made perfect sense for me to say, "The moon." (Seriously) And why was I asked this at such a young age... lets save that for later.
I guess I wasn't far off when I ended up going to Colorado for the honey mountain. Ten years later, I never made it to the moon, nor, do I really have a deep desire to get there. This extra terrestrial mentality has forced me outside of my own land, my own skin.
As I stare at Earth's magnificent waters carved into Mother's crust, I am able to reflect. I can see myself, at least the skin.
I recently watched a youtube video of Dr. Edith Widder (a deep-sea explorer and personal girl crush) and she shared some astonishing facts: Moon - 100% mapped out / Mars - 100% mapped out / Earth's ocean 5% mapped. (Jaw dropped, but not surprised)
Is it easier to live outside of ourselves, study that which is beyond. Would we be terrified to find out what lives within our OWN planet where 96.5% of our water exists? I am laughing publicly because I know my answer.
Dirt under the nails or sand in weird places... when we begin to dig or dive in, Earth reminds us of our existence our terrestrial, our... territory. It is felt by all of our human senses and activates the 6th.
No longer crying to get higher, I step down and break the surface of my skin to swim within my own mysteries.
A honey drip journey but I am recognizing the mirror effect Earth has upon us. Our call to action for her is a direct reflection on our call to action for ourselves.
Do we want to escape and not listen, pretend we are... okay, just keep getting higher, find refuge somewhere else, leave it all behind.
Are we "fine" with our home being "fine" or are we ready to pick up the spade/learn how to really breathe, so we can stay under longer, unafraid of what we may find?
Our planet is incredible; I think we are too.
The LARGEST animal known to have ever existed, the blue whale, is living at the same time we flush a toilet. LARGER THAN DINOSAURS!!!!! Blows me away... funny because these baleen whales have two blowholes so like, it "extra" blows me away.
I shall do my best to stay grounded and as close to Earth as possible as I pursue my transitioning career to marine biology while casting spells on our species to fall in love with honey waters.
That is you, honey.
