A snowflake falls.

As soon as it leaves the womb of the cloud it celebrates a free fall through the fathoms of the sky. Uniqueness in its geometry causes the constant waves of atmospheric force to dance with this particular flake in unique poetic synchronicity.

Cardinal directions to this flake, the other snowflakes sink with the atmospheric lead, naturally, in an entirely different spiral.

Dancing flakes move free of expectation as they are influenced by forces outside of themselves to their final destination: a child’s tongue, a crisp mountain top, tired blacktop.

Each unique flake, melting to its rest.

I believe our lives are simply that: falling into freedom.

Whether we are mentally holding on or physically letting go, we are falling at a constant rate persuaded by outside forces.

Due to our unique geometries we experience a different path thereby having separate ideas of what it means to be “free” or living without constraint.

We will all melt to rest at the end of the fall, so curtsey/bow and let's have a ball.
