I think the only reason I actually type is because my finger pads crave touch...
or maybe they like to tap dance. Finger pad to tiny square drums.
I remember being afraid at night in a room all alone. On the other side of my room was my dad's office space. The only way I would ever fall asleep and stay in my room was if he would be upstairs working; I would fall asleep to the sound of his typing.
If I couldn't hear the faint noises of fingers racing across a keyboard, I would lie awake until all of the lights in the house were off. I would then tip-toe downstairs to sleep on the floor of my parent's room. I was embarrassed so didn't want them to know. If they were still awake, I would go to the basement and sleep on my sister's floor.
I think the only reason I type is because I like to connect. I enjoy point A (finger) to point B (board) and getting an immediate result, what you C.
I think I like to type because I was once a professional in the arts of Egyptian hieroglyphics creating sacred carvings from the combination of symbols we now call letters.
I like to type because I like to press buttons. Does the way I type press yours?
I wonder what you like to type when you write.
